BACKSTORY (1/23/2006—Present) BACKSTORY: Monsters Inc.: Mike & Sully to the Rescue is a California Adventure attraction located in the Hollywood Backlot area replaced the extremely unpopular Superstar Limo dark ride attraction (2/8/2001—1/11/2002). The Taxi Cabs used in Monsters Inc. are the purple stretch limos leftover from Superstar Limo. In fact, many of the celebrity animatronic figures (Regis Philbin, Jackie Chan) have been redressed as CDA Agent. The audio animatronic of Roz at the end of the attraction is controlled by a cast member, who is able to make personalized jokes about the guests riding by in their cabs (especially ones with cameras!).
