BACKSTORY: This may be hard to believe, but yes...Indianapolis is one of my favorite cities. I even lived there for a year. Well-designed and easy to navigate, it is a center for sports, arts, shopping, and amazing restaurants. Don't sell this midwestern city short; give it a try!
The Canterbury, built in 1928, was once a Daveland favorite before it was completely remodeled as a Le Meridien hotel, losing virtually all of its historical touches. Although the design of it had gotten a bit stuffy, I still loved this small historic boutique hotel. I have not been back since the change. Regardless, it is in a prime location in downtown Indianapolis, adjacent to the Circle City Mall.
