BACKSTORY: Less than two hours from Savannah, I have visited this other famous southern city twice now. Most people love it; me...I'd rather visit Savannah. While full of historic buildings and sites, this famous southern city near the water lacks the quiet and quirky charm that I find so intoxicating with Savannah. Still, worth a visit. Great restaurants, Drayton Hall, Fort Sumter...check it out.
